At our Typewriter Ball opening party at Turner Hall on June 21 (tickets and schedule here: QWERTYFEST 2024 SCHEDULE - QWERTYFEST), we will be featuring a QF silent auction fundraiser, with money raised goes to our event costs. The auction opens at 5pm and will be located near Turner Hall’s stage. Opening bid on these items ranges from $5-$175. Stop by and write down your bid, then swing by to see if you need to up your ante to win. The auction closes at 9pm and winners will be announced shortly after. The auction includes some typewriters that are beautiful just as they are and some that have been modified by local artists.

Item: 06 Olivetti Studio 44 Notes: This typer was manufactured in Barcelona, mid-1960s. A smooth design with sleek curves, it looks and types good. Author Cormac McCarthy wrote on a similar machine, the Olivetti Lettera 32. Starting bid: $85
Item: 07 Remington Model 5 Notes: This beautiful, solid machine was made in 1939, and still works great! It has a matte finish, touch regulator, case, and a reprint of the original instruction manual. Donated to us by Platen Place. Starting bid: $125
